Introduction
- UHMWPE Rope is made by ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) fiber, Using Shenlong's proprietary rope design and manufacturing precision technology to produce better UHMWPE Rope in China, it is stronger than steel wire rope of the same diameter,and it's weight only 1/8 of steel wire rope.On a weight for weight basis, UHMWPE is 15 times stronger than steel wire.
- The high - molecular - weight polyethylene 12 - strand rope is produced using ultra - high - molecular - weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). It is one of the fibers with the highest strength in the world. Adopting international advanced technology, the yarn is manufactured through resin processing. However, according to customers' special requirements, a polyester protective layer can also be added to further enhance wear resistance and improve service life. Its strength - to - diameter ratio is higher than that of steel wire ropes of the same diameter, and its weight is only 15% of that of steel wire ropes with the same strength.
Features
- Breaking elongation: 2.8-3.9. It has excellent relaxation fatigue strength, which is 1000 times that of steel cables and nylon cables.
- Density: 0.97 g/m³. Its specific gravity is lower than that of water, so it floats on the water surface. It is soft and convenient to handle.
- At room temperature, it is resistant to industrial concentrated acids, alkalis, and oxidants.
- It has strong fatigue resistance. When the rope is cyclically loaded with 40%-50% of the load for 100,000 times, the final breaking strength does not decrease.
- Low - temperature resistance: Its performance does not decrease at - 43 °C.
